Does the script track my visitors?

No. It loads your published edits and, at most once every six hours per browser, tells Baton your site is installed, sending only the site address. It does not read forms, cookies or visitor details, and it has no analytics. The file is public, so you or an AI assistant can read it first.

Will search engines see my edits?

Google usually runs the script, so it sees them. Bing, link previews on social apps and many AI tools may only read the original page. To cover them too, add the small Cloudflare Worker from your site setup: it puts your published edits into the page itself, and it falls back to the normal page if anything goes wrong.
